Warm greetings to parents, families and community
Welcome to Cargill School, a vibrant and close-knit community school in Tokoroa, where students from Year 1 to Year 6 thrive. We are a small school with a big heart, dedicated to nurturing confident leaders and successful learners.
At Cargill, we ignite curiosity in our senior students through engaging STEM inquiries, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Our students are enthusiastic about exploring and diving deeper into these subjects.
In our junior classes, we foster self-directed play based on the children’s interests, ensuring a balanced and stimulating environment for their growth.
We take pride in our diverse backgrounds and rich local curriculum, with a special focus on celebrating Māori and Pacific languages. This inclusive approach helps all students appreciate and respect one another.
Our school offers a range of artistic opportunities, from music and instrument playing to visual and performing arts, allowing students to discover and develop their talents.
We value strong relationships and maintain an “open door” policy to connect with students, staff, parents, whānau, and the community.
Our core values - manaaki, māhaki, kaitiaki, and whānau - guide everything we do, creating a safe and positive learning environment.
We are excited to welcome you to our warm and welcoming school community!
Ngā mihi
Donna Jones
